CTET Exam Pattern:
CTET is being held for finding teacher eligibility for teaching two groups of students:
i) Class I-V: You have to appear in CTET Paper-I.
ii) Class VI-VIII: You have to appear in CTET Paper-II.
If you would like to teach both the groups, you have to appear in both Paper-I & Paper-II.
You have to obtain minimum 60% marks in these papers to qualify in CTET, following which CTET certificate would be given which will be valid for 6 years.

There is no restriction to the number of times you can appear in CTET – also even after getting 60+% marks, you can appear in CTET again to better your scores. It would be held annually each year.

Optional paper:
(a) For Maths and Science teacher: Maths and Science.
(b) For Social studies/Social Science Teacher: Social Science
(c) For any other teacher – either (a) or (b).

CBSE CTET 2012 examination answer key for all sets of question papers will be available at their official website http://www.ctet.nic.in/ on or after 30-Jan-2012. Candidates who appeared for CTET 2012 exam can discuss about the questions and answers in the comments section of this page.

Paper 1 for primary school teachers (class I to V) and Paper 2 for upper primary school teachers (class VI to XII). CBSE will publish the answer keys separately for paper 1 and paper 2 for SET A B C and D. Candidates who ever qualify in the examination will be given a certificate which will be valid for 7years and candidate can use this to get teachers jobs.
